The Bruce Highway Upgrade (Cooroy to Curra) Project involves a 62km upgrade and realignment of the Bruce Highway, including a bypass of Gympie, and is one of Queensland’s highest-priority road projects.

In one of our biggest projects to date, Bampak delivered thirteen bridge structures along the $384 million Section C (Traveston to Woondum) segment, including eight major waterway crossings and five overpasses constructed over live traffic. Reaching a total of 70 direct control employees at the peak of construction, Bampak delivered the project within the 12-month timeframe aided by our fleet of lifting and access equipment—20t rough terrain, 18t franna, manitou and knuckle boom.

The new 10.5km highway section has delivered a new 4-lane divided highway on a new and improved alignment, supporting safe and high speed travel while also providing a 1 in 100 year flood immunity.
