Project Overview

Pelican Waters Masterplan Community is currently being constructed on the southern end of the Sunshine Coast and once complete will be home to over 12,000 residents. Bampak has been contracted to construct three key components in the development—the Michael St Bridge, Lock Structure and the Weir.

The Michael St Bridge consists of a 3-span deck unit concrete structure with pile caps, columns, headstocks built off a suspended deck and a pedestrian walkway on the side. The lock structure is a 6m high water retaining concrete structure with curved walls and a suspended deck. Both these structures are nearing completion and the ground works are underway to allow the construction of the adjacent weir structure. Bampaks’ scope of works was completed in late 2020.
